Daughters of the Crown

I for some reason decided that for my own zine I wanted to draw all 7 of the princesses. Really wanted to make it hard for myself clearly (I somehow managed to contribute to like 6 other zines despite this).

These are the chapter illustrations for each Princess in the zine. I wanted to capture a point in their storylines right before everything changed, or when they were caught in the midst of their story. In order here is Elody, La bête, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Rosamund, and Mira. The backgrounds are all page/old page colours to make the Princesses themselves pop, as if they are more than their stories. (Can you tell I love them so much?)

Comic with simple digital drawings. Text: Sometimes I wonder if growing up for people is like this: Panel 1: Kid pointing at a row of brightly coloured shapes. Panel 2: The kid smiling with two of the shapes stuck to their body. Text: But for me it was more like this: Panel 3: Kid in a dark box with spikes inside. Panel 4: The kid growing and ending up with indents in them the shape of the spikes. Panel 5: The box unfolds and opens on the ground. Pim stands up and looks down at their body with spiked indents.

Text: Maybe missing out is a little lonely. Pim standing in a line-up of people where on either side everyone else has different colourful shapes on them.

Panel 1-2: Pim looking down and noticing something. Text: But that's okay. Panel 3: Pim smiling and crouching to pick up a colourful shape on the ground. Other people milling around covered in shapes and picking up new ones. They also have some differently shaped indents. Text: There's still time. Watermark: @yeehawpim

I truly truly believe that the most important thing you can do in fandom is be a cheerleader. comment on fics. reblog art and rave in the tags. support the people making the things you want to see. this is how you keep a fandom alive. this is how you get more of what you want. you never know: that person could have decided to make more just because you liked it.

Make this again! zine

I had a few really old art pieces I was trying to decide between to redraw. I finally did settle on redrawing my old Aelwyn and Penelope art from 2021. I drew the old one on my phone so the quality is wild haha, so it was fun to do a proper version of it, in a completely different style too.

And Then There Were Hounds

And then there were hounds is a mice and murder zine crossing m&m over with other fictional detectives. I love mice and murder and as soon as my brain made the connection between Carmen Sandiego and Daisy D'umpstaire I HAD TO DRAW IT.

The style of my drawing is inspired by some older Carmen Sandiego posters and advertising from the games. I also added a couple of fun things such as the newspaper title (Parrot Press), looking for la femme bleue (instead of rouge), and a certain fox, chasing a raccoon, chasing a rabbit.

The MAGE Gala Vol 2: Interdimensional Edition

This is my second year participating in the MAGE gala! Such a fun idea, and loved that this year it incorportated the quangle. Of course though, after drawing Connor Counterspell I felt I had a duty this year to draw another underrated fantasy high npc.

Here is Tiberia Runestaff, wizard teacher at Aguefort Adventuring Academy. I decided to draw her in a massive coat dress inspired by her coming from the Mountains of Chaos. The bows are just because.

I’m watching The Big Bang Theory in its natural setting—playing in the background of a hot spiral room—and I can say within that specific context, it is a very charming show. Like the saltine crackers of media.
